Back on track. Eta's dont get that great of gas mileage. Most of them have issues now a days. Eta's had a few little quirks that "i" cars didnt have. The m42 motor is a better motor by today's standards, with newer technology.
I'd shoot for the 318 anyways. Its easier to find a nice one with 4 doors.

WHAT? rethink that scabzzzz. With small runners, smaller injectors, less friction, eta motors are awesome on gas. The only problem that was fixed with "i" was the idling.

When properly tuned, m40's can't touch 2.7e's. Not to mention larger diff. gear (2.93), numerically smaller, which allows for higher speed and further better gas mileage.
