yea i'm gonna take a nice look at it on Tuesday. i know the basic areas to check out for rust and whatnot, but any other quick tips on things to look for/check out?

ask him about the timing belt, and make sure u post pics.

also, any chance that paint could be buffed out at all? it looks like the sides arent too horrible, but who knows. I'll try to get some pics of it next week.

The paint on the top surfaces looked pretty bad and highly doubtful those will buff out. The sides most likely would though. Although if you are going to paint the tops one day you might as well respray it all so it matches...
