    Hell on dyno?

seems to me Satan want's to unleash his powers!

Now, could someone tell why say : Queens Street Racing 4 rotor engine dyno E46 BMW M3 4 Rotor GT60 Turbo made 1664hp and 1158lb/ft

Is this a Mazda 4 rotor engine with some kind of BMW technology or what!?

It's probably 20b housings with a custom 4 rotor e-shaft. And the E46 rotary car is just that, a e46 with a rotary in it, not a bmw made rotary.

Rediculous, but I'll be amazed if they can put that to the ground. Kinda worthless w/o being able to put it down. Incredible none the less.

fire, that would be the rotary backfiring. 4 rotors were only used in the 787B racer iirc. The normal rx8 only has two rotors and look at the turbo potential of that monster.

I'm pretty sure its two 13B housing bolted together with a special 4 rotor shaft as mentioned. Its an all out drag car so it can put down whatever horsepower you throw at it.

4 rotors making big power are usually 20b housings with another 20b housing attached. The 20b is out of the Cosmo.

                        The 787B car used a 3 rotor.

                          12A/13B is a 2 rotor housing
                          20B is a 3 rotor housing
26B is a 4 rotor housing that was only used in the 787B Lemans race car....

the el cheapo way to make a 26B in todays society is by bolting two 13B's together in a line... giving 4 rotors...I would be interested to know why you think two 20B housing would be used.

Well atleast the thing about the two 13b's is how the aussie car was made, im not sure if there are other BMW drag cars running effectively 26B engines....

                          Cheers,

My bad, I thought the 787b was a 3 rotor. But the 4 rotor my brother designed uses 4 20b housings, maybe it's not common.

I guess with the above information being about the extent of my rotoary knowledge....as long as you make a custom shaft and bolts/dowels, it doesnt matter what housing you use.....just need:

End Plate | Rotor Housing | Intermediate Plate | Rotor Housing | Intermediate Plate | Rotor Housing | Intermediate Plate | Rotor Housing | End Plate
