Its not envy. Its paying 300 some dollars for something that does nothing. I don't understand the logic behind that. Just because it has a name attached to it doesn't mean shit. I understand that in every car circle, there are folks who will see things like this and give props, while most won't have a clue. That's fine if thats what you like, but me personally, i do not understand it.

        This is rather funny...

So let me get this right. The guy with the S52, 6sp trans, porsche brakes, and a whole crap load of other stuff done to his car... is getting crap for spending 360 bucks on a dead pedal. And the point being made by most is "He could have spent it on something with a little more purpose."

Go get a Honda or something and start making stuff for half price, if you can
Envy? Please, there's no envy from most of us here.

I promise any one of us here would like to have that "dead" pedal, but most of us wouldn't pay more than $100. And why buy it if you don't have the rest of the set? It's like buying 1 original Alpina wheel and keep it as a spare in the trunk. Is he going to frame it and leave on the wall in his garage?

Any one of us could spend $365 on something more useful, even if it's not BMW related. That's all.

lol. As far as im concerned the man knows what he wants, he has a sick e30, not to mention 135i , so i highly doubt cash flow is any issue, and even if it was wtf does it matter?

You have a bad attitude. I am not envious. My entire car was a "rare" part but I still wouldn't spend 400 dollars on something my foot sits on.

this is where we see the seperation between people who put sportmaxxes, tint film, ebay lights, indiglo gauges and fiberglass body kits on their cars and others who like 100% real and original parts that weren't made in a chinese sweat shop.

Don't worry, they'll move on to the E36 as soon as they can, since it's just a status symbol thing to them anyway.

Agreed. And I'm pretty sure he has a full set of Genuine AC Schnitzer pedals, not knockoffs. There was a thread about this like 6 months ago, that's why I put up my "Aw geez, not this shit again" pic.

I like how people spend 10's of thousands on engine swaps and restorations on this site... yet i buy a cast aluminium deadpedal for 1/2 what is cost new and suddenly my livelyhood is in question.
10s of thousands? most people here, myself included, don't have 10s of thousands of $$ to spend on their e30.
its a nice piece, i just don't have the cash to buy that sort of stuff.

There's a way to appreciate real stuff without spending that kind of dough.
