Its not envy. Its paying 300 some dollars for something that does nothing. I don't understand the logic behind that. Just because it has a name attached to it doesn't mean shit. I understand that in every car circle, there are folks who will see things like this and give props, while most won't have a clue. That's fine if thats what you like, but me personally, i do not understand it.

This is rather funny...
So let me get this right. The guy with the S52, 6sp trans, porsche brakes, and a whole crap load of other stuff done to his car... is getting crap for spending 360 bucks on a dead pedal. And the point being made by most is "He could have spent it on something with a little more purpose."E30 Dinan Turbo

Go get a Honda or something and start making stuff for half price, if you can
I promise any one of us here would like to have that "dead" pedal, but most of us wouldn't pay more than $100. And why buy it if you don't have the rest of the set? It's like buying 1 original Alpina wheel and keep it as a spare in the trunk. Is he going to frame it and leave on the wall in his garage?
Any one of us could spend $365 on something more useful, even if it's not BMW related. That's all.

this is where we see the seperation between people who put sportmaxxes, tint film, ebay lights, indiglo gauges and fiberglass body kits on their cars and others who like 100% real and original parts that weren't made in a chinese sweat shop.
Don't worry, they'll move on to the E36 as soon as they can, since it's just a status symbol thing to them anyway.
