      The bogging is probably from a clogged fuel filter or something really simple.

      I guess $500 ain't bad, because the catalytic converter is worth over $200 in scrap value, uncracked dash $100, sport seats $200 (they seem to be in good shape). So everything beyond that is gravy!

          Well I've never driven an E30 before but I really cant imagine that running the way it does is normal. I'm not worried however one way or another there will be an engine im happy with under the hood by the time its done. Most likely it will still be the m20, just in an improved version.

                Maybe BMW will run a recall on e30's that buy them back for 150% of bluebook value - love the tacoma graveyard in the background - my dealership had so many!

                          The CHECK light in the center is for the central check system, which has nothing to do with the engine (except for Coolant and Oil Levels)

                            I don't want to rain on your parade, but I would seriously check all the rust areas carefully to make sure the structural integrity of the car/chassis is not compromised for your own safety
