    Sacrilege! E30 doomed!

    OK GET THIS!

Me and my friend Marko went to a junkyard to find a part for the company Ford Taurass, and look what we found:

    (read on after the pics)

OKAY, i asked a worker nearby what the deal was, he said some person just dropped that E30 off here just recently because it had a blown head gasket. Right away, i wanted that car (naturally). A head gasket is not hard to fix! So i went to talk to the lady that was (apparently) in charge, and she said:
"oh, you can't buy that car as a whole, we are going to part it out."
i said: "why can't i buy the whole car?"
"oh, it has body damage, someone had used Bondo on it."

OK, where do you guys see any of that? anyway, this was a few days ago. I called back there today, the same b**** answered, and before i even said my name, and that i even wanted to buy the car, she insisted that she was not selling it, but parting it out instead. My friend Marko just called, and asked for the boss there. The lady would not take down his number, but insisted on what the call was about. When MArko finally told her it was about the E30, she insisted once again that it was an irreparable car and therefore would not be sold.

If you are going to part out a car, why would you net even listen to an offer to buy the whole thing? she never even let any of us offer! What is the deal? What's more, here's something else we saw there:

This car was about to be crushed, and looked in perfect condition!!! we asked a worker what the deal was, he said simply that the car was not a big parts car. What if they decide that for the E30??? they sure won't sell it!!

    So here is the deal:

This is located in Abingdon, MD. The number for this place is (410)-272-8222. They are called Norman's Auto Parts. I know there are ppl out there that want this car, i do, but i have been turned down twice, without even making an offer!! My friend Marko was turned down, what the hell???

    SOMEONE SAVE THIS CAR!!!!!!

Interesting car, it has euro grills, which to me means the po kind of knew what was up. Here's the thing, they will probably make more money parting it than selling it as a whole... Sorry man keep looking.

That is probably true, but what i don't understand is why she would not even listen long enough for an offer. If i was parting a car, and someone asked if the whole shebang was for sale, i would first ask what they were willing to pay, and then possibly turn them down. This woman was a real b**** about it though.

they know nothing of the value of that car. thats why she couldnt even hear out an offer. Ive had this happen before. When they see BMW they think lots of $$$$$$$ in parts.

The thing is, i never see any E30's in or near Abingdon, MD, and i can't imagine who would ever buy parts from that E30 before i started posted it on forums. Oh well, i just know that they (the junkyard people) are going to pick that car up with a forklift, drop it ontop of some old rusted Dodge Caravan, and let it rot.

just be thankful a E30 M3 didnt find its way in there. That would literally be a crying shame.

For legal reasons most junkyards cannot and will not sell a car. Its not the woman being a bitch, its just policy. Just pull all the parts you want off of it and let it rot.

Did you at least get the euro grills & shadow grills? That front roundel looks to be in good shape too.

Don't forget the fog blanks & ducts in the front valence.

I bought my e30 at a junk yard. Payed the guy, got the title. Went out and put a battery in the car and drove it out of there. But this was in PA not MD.

Edit: Come to think of it. My buddy wanted to buy this 3rd gen Camaro that was in a yard in MD and they said they would sell it to him. They also had the title for it.

In oregon the moment the car is pulled into the yard the title is sent to the state and the car is considered "Destroyed" Once it goes in it can never come back out.

I can give them a call tomorrow, so i'll let you know then. If they don't sell it as a whole, would you be interested in meeting up and parting some of the car?

It's rusting and it has a blown head gasket what more do you want. If noone puts decent cars in the junkyard there will be no decent junkyard parts, people will stop going, junkyard will have no customers etc. so it's good sometimes when cars go to the junkyard.
