Perfect starter bike, And amazing gas mileage.

Cheap and easy to get rid of when/if you want to upgrade.

Looks good. And I like the idea of being able to sell it easily later. Any specific years to look for? Any other bikes I should look at?

One of my favs. Something you won;t rush out and replace after 2 months.

We have a winner. That's the bike I'd get.

Something that doesn't have a lot of fascia or body molding because you know it's going to go down.

if i were to do a ninja, i would do the 636rr, just as good on gas, maybe a tad faster, but i think 250 is to slooow...i've riden them both, i can really tell a difference...thats just me tho..

im thinkin about gettin a CBR 600, hondas are really good bikes...

Don't kill your self if you haven't ridden a bike for reals like all the time. Hopping on a 600 if you haven't ridden for a good amount of time is a death wish. Mob a ninja 650r, ninja 500, or sv650 if you want some power. They're all good beginner bikes.

                        Wow, do you ride?

                        A 636 isn't just a tad a faster than a 250, its ALOT faster and a much more aggressive bike than a 250.

That's like saying a C6 is just a tad faster than an E30.

A 636 is very different indeed. The SV sounds better IMO.

Anyone have opinions on a Buell XB9S? If/when I ever do get a motorcycle, that is one that I have been eyeing for some time. Eiither that or a R1150 R Rockster, preferably Dakargelb.

Rode a buddies XB12S. Fantastic handling bike. Although it turns almost too fast for a street bike IMHO, it made the turn-in on my R6 seem slow and I even had my rear ride height raised to get a bit more weight on the front. It makes the front feel a touch nervous, but I didn't have a problem having a good time on it.

The engine is like "ZOMG the torque, bah bah bah bah, damn! Rev limiter" If it was like the Italian twins that had 3-4 thousand more RPMs to give it would be near perfect, but then again I always preferred the top end heavy power delivery of the I4s, 600s in particular.
