Then you watch them get in GRM and stuff 295/30/18s on an 8" wide wheel for a tire test. Bunch of hypocrites.
Ahhhh, people that don't know how the legal side of the aftermarket car part world works...

They didn't tell you that because they're idiots. They did it because they're smart.

They do that because if they sell you something that isn't within spec for your car, and something happens to your car while running it, regardless of whether or not it was their product that did it, you'll turn around and try to blame/sue them for it. I tried to order a spare Borbet Type E wheel for my car when I still had them, and they wouldn't sell it to me until I told them that I was buying it for a '99 Civic, the car that that particular spec of wheel I was after is shown for. They can't be held liable for me mounting a wheel up that requires spacers and hubcentric rings to fit properly and fucking it up.

You're condescension is admirable, yet misplaced.

I'm well aware of how it works, I just said its a bunch of crap is all. And because of their policies I will not support them.

Maybe that's a bit easier to understand? ;)

You can feel like it's a bunch of crap all you want, I won't tell you what you can and can't think. That doesn't mean I won't tell you you're wrong.

It's not crap. It's protecting their asses against dipshit little ricer kids ordering wheels and parts for their cars that aren't made for them, but think they'll make them fit anyway. Then little junior dipshit flips his car because he mounted the spacer wrong, and Mommy and Daddy sue the shit out of TireRack.

You can choose not to support them for whatever reason you want, I'm sure they don't really care. With an attitude like that, I doubt they really miss you. That's like going to Foot Locker, and trying to buy a pair of shoes that are 3 sizes to small. But they are hesitant sell them to you, because they know they won't fit, and they know you'll just come back and bitch because your feet hurt. So you decide not to go there anymore, because their policies are crap. How's that for being a bit easier to understand?

I didn't need you to explain it more, I understand it perfectly.

I just think its too bad because it completely excludes enthusiasts who are looking for specific fitments, who have consulted with people who know what they are talking about and aren't looking the usual +1 fitment or something.

That's all I'm getting at, but thank you for you input regarding the original question.

I have a set of 275/55R17 tires on my T15 Jimmy (hint-NOT original or recommended size) that I ordered online from Tire Rack. I just didn't specify the application. It's not that hard to do.
If you know they'll fit, why are you calling them?

Oh, and is Turner really that much more expensive? I know it's just wheel spacers, but it is nice that they still support our cars. That's worth a buck or two.

You can't fit 315 or 335 tires on a Camaro but I did and bought them from the rack.

FWIW you can order online based on size-at least for tires....

And I don't support them either. They are the walmart of tires. I'll stick to the small shops.

^Why is this still being discussed? Someone said tire rack I explained why I don't support them, then half of the posts in thread about spacers becomes about tire rack.

You bunch of Ritalin needing fucks.
