    The Official Useless E30 part thread

    I thought this would be fun. I was cleaning up my shop and realizing how useless some of the parts are to even keep around. "Only worth their weight in scrap" you could say. so throw out some of the parts you think are useless.

    Auto transmission
    Stock springs
    Stock swaybars
    Most 4dr parts lol



    And so forth

      Funny you say that, I have 2 auto's, 2 sets of stock springs/struts, And 2 sets of DBs.

      They are going to the scrap yard soon enough... lol

              6-button OBC, why? Just get a clock and your more than halfway there.

              Plastic screws that BMW is so fond of, why not use metal screws?

              Early 90's airbags. Because they will likely do more harm than good.

                                  DB front valences, toolkit holders without tools, cracked taillights, stock swaybars (again), rusty springs, original rear shock mounts, an old timing chain and gears (M42), a dented Taurus side skirt. I'm sure I have more...

                                                  I also still have the pinion gear from my buddy's '01 mustang and all the races and bearings. The pinion gear was once tested to mash potatoes after it was sterilized. Did wonders!
