hmmm THR may be a bit upset

Just got set in today and they are every bit the same quality as the THR product. Ive installed several sets of the THR , so I know what I am talking about unlike some. As said before in this tread I suspect someone found out where THR is having theirs produced and just under cut the price. Nice product all the same though.

Walmart drives small companies out of business by driving down prices to the point only big companies survive. That's not exactly new news there pal.

Turns out that is exactly what E-bay does to many small automotive aftermarket businesses.

Case in point. Long tube M20 headers (since everyone has been talking about it lately). An e-bay seller rips off the design and undercuts the price by a huge margin, and the original builders just quite making them. They can't sell a header for $800 even if the quality is superior, when you can buy a lower quality equivalent on e-bay for 1/3rd the price.:finger:


EDIT: to add that WE ALL GET FUCKED, when this happens. Perfect example Mark D chips. He's getting ripped off by Ebay scum bags so bad he's not developing anything new for us. And apprently had some cool things in development.......His sales have dropped substantially.

This is why you do your research and know what you are buying. No one here is debating about the cheap ass IE/EBay headers we all know that they come from overseas and cant meet the quality of the domestic counterparts. All I am saying is that I have a set of these lower control arm brackets. They are the same or meet the quality of THR, if not made in the exactly the same place. I am trying to let everyone know this, instead of leaving it to a few people (who have never seen these before) and will automatically bash them not knowing that they are good quality. Now knowing this maybe someone else can save a few bucks over the inflated THR prices.

I can understand that. We all want to keep truckin' on in our projects, but the economy has to be affecting more than just me......I do agree with you that some things on e-bay could be good quality, and it is automatically discounted as junk by people who don't know. I for one don't know about these specific parts and probably never will. I see no need for them in my application.

Do you understand the concept of intellectual property? of the costs associated with research and development? That the e30 is a 20+ year old design and if the few remaining companies that do spend their time and money creating parts get shafted there will be no more new products?

Look at the thread on MarkD ripoff chips. He is not releasing his MAF due to this exact thing. Please miss me with this is the same quality. Did you do a metallurgic test to see the exact stress point of this metal and compare it to the original? Did you do a spectroanalysis of the urethane to see the exact compounds?

I hope you work hard, create something and then someone comes along & undercuts you.

you forgot to comment on the brake discs.
