Hahaha. This sounds like my transmission. I had to drop the subframe to get at the top bolt just to do my clutch. A job that should only take 2-3 hours took 6. What a fun day that was.

I pretty much do whatever but then it's what I do for a living as well.

I does help to have all the right tools.

Trans jobs are actually one of my "favorite" (if you can call it that..) jobs to do. With the right tools it's an hour job.

I may have already responded to this thread but I have no limits. Since I refuse to pay or allow anyone to work on my cars I have had to learn pretty much everything on my garage / workshop floor and I don't regret that!

after being disappointed 100% of the time with someone else working on my car and the fact i realized everything is easy as cake, i now do EVERYTHING.
i may not like it, but it feel happy when i finish having done it myself.

I've always told myself that i will never buy a car that needs a quarter panel. But here I am putting an m30 in a car that needs a quarter panel. I think I'll finish the turbo before i tackle the body work

I'm only good at paint work, other than that, I don't "refuse" to do anything. Well maybe changing rocker arms, always end up having to pull the friggin head. :(
