It's cool I know you weren't attacking me, I was just clarifying.

So far in my cabbie journey nothing has stumped me enough to want a vert forum.

a subforum for convertibles is like a subforum for different kinds of batteries

    get over it

a FAQ is all we need

Personally, I think a vert specific DIY or Specification is all we need under the DIY/FAQ section to determine 1.) all the differences in verts and the miss information on the forum. 2.) simple adjustment and alignment of the cab windows and wiring.

I'll create one in the future. If someone dont beat me to it, but thats all we really need an all in one DIY.

He's an asshole...and he knows he's an asshole. You can't talk down on him by name-calling; doesn't work that way. ;)

AriasATX, sorry I did not mean to attack your post, I came a cross this thread and it brought back some bad feelings when I requested that a Vert section be created. And when I ask for Cab specific questions I have been pointed to that site. Though it has some useful stickies as a forum it sucks. I'm old enough to know that when something does not suit you you create something that does. But frankly I don't have the expertise of creating or the time to administrate or host a new forum. And that would defeat my purpose of having the wealth of information that is already here at r3vlimited. I don't want to look elsewhere if we had a vert section it would just hold the vert questions and answers in one place then you post it goes into the new posts non vert people read it give it their 2 cents and we are all a happy family, and no animals were hurt in the process.

Nothing but vert owners talking about verts.

With all due respect that site sucks, if it where based on forum format I guess it would be the answer or closer to it. Trust me no one ones a Convertible sub heading more than I. Try looking for a set of floor mats for a vert and come tell me they are just e30's minus the top!!! Last time I brought this up I was accused of trying to split the forum, I did not know I was such a revolutionary!!! But then again I want a NY/NJ tab on the gatherings page.

I'm subscribing to see what happens.

I could stand a Cabrio/Baur subforum on the appearance and cosmetic forum

What about adding another sub-topic under the "Appearance & Cosmetic" page of the discussion boards. It already contains the following topics:

    General Cosmetics
    Body & Paint
    Interior
    Lighting

The new addition can be titled "Soft Tops" or "Cabrio Tech" or something along those lines. Putting it in this particular catagory seems like the most logical place. All things cabrio can be discussed there - top fabrics, various windows (since you have frameless doors), hardtops, seals, defrosters, repairs, frames, etc.

I would support a cabrio specific forum, solely for the ease of searching for cabrio specific info.

He woke up in his mother's basement one day and realized that he's stuck in a cubicle 40 hours a week while making payments on a Pontiac Grand Am.

    I'd be raging too.
