Here are some pics. I will work on sound clip once I fix an annoying exhaust leak.

    Looks like a S50 to me, not a S52.

    Clean install either way.

A very clean install, one of the nicest I've seen.

Some people use the S52 valve cover to make it look like an S50 for smog regulations -- that way it looks like OBD1.

But you are right, they also put the shitty cast iron manifolds onto the engine.

I also think you should dump the engine fan.

So it's supposed to be an s52 converted to obd1...what's the definitive way to tell - I need to make sure I didn't get ripped off....

Well externally just looking at a few things...

                Exhaust manifolds are S50
                Pink top injectors are S52
                Valve cover is S50

real way??? get vin number. Even this can be tricky. The cylinder head contains a vin number. I cannot remember if the actual engine block does or not either. S50 heads do fit S52 bottom ends and vice versa -- therefore the only *real* way as far as i know is to measure the crank stroke on the bottom end. I am sure there are probably some different markings on the blocks between S50 and S52, but I do not remember them.

I always thought S52 had individual throttles ??
Or is it only the euro version ?

Looks sick. Very clean install, and yes that cone filter is gigantic.

What suspension are you running? Great stance.
                    Reminiscing...

Be honest with you - I was a little suprised at how big the filter is - it really doesn't fit all that well - may have to swap it out in the near future - doing the job now - though

The suspension - that's a tough one - it was on the car when I got it - but this is what I know - it's HR springs that drop the car about 1.5 inches all the way around. Also as part of the conversion I ended up with these:

They allow for clearance of the exhaust headers...

Thanks. It would be more of a sleeper if it weren't so damn throaty - it's hard to suprise someone in this car....

Looks like an awesome car, I really want my next E30 to be a 4 door I think.

What exhaust are you or will you be running with the swap?
