Often times tickets on your record go unnoticed. Unless the insurance company requests your driving record they may not even know you got a ticket. Supp[osedly they update your records every so often, but it could be quite some time before that happens if at all. So I would NOT recommend asking YOUR agent. Ask someone else, if you must know how it MIGHT affect your rates.

its not ruston, its shuster parkway, wayyy different, the flow of traffic is always going around 55 - 60 when I am on it

its a 71 dollar ticket, should I even bother trying to defer this thing?

Also, in the comments he wrote clock at 61, but it put down vehicle speed as 45, was a nice cop, just doing his job, so i'm not wanting to go after him and start complaining.

I have a vacation coming up in a week, and I don't want my court date to conflict with the date of my trip,

The cost does not bother me, its only 71 bucks, however for insurance purposes should I even bother trying to fight it? i'm going to admit speeding, I just don't want it on my insurance.
Suck it up and pay for it. Use it as a learning curve. Slow down, if a kid or I was on a bicycle or a walker you might have hit em.

People are just getting outrageous with driving 45mph in zones that are marked residential or 30mph. Slow down give people a break plan for added traffic and leave ten minutes earlier.

This is my pet peeve sorry for rant. But I have kids too.

What is reported to Insurance agency is speeding. That is all.

its a 4 lane road, with a very wide center divider, no sidewalk, just a barrier, no shoulder either, most people think its a freeway

insurance looks at everything, not just speeding. I have probably had the worst luck with my tickets. Damn cop was off duty picking his kid up from school when I spun my tires (in big chevy hot rod) and then "ran" from him. There was no place for me to pull over so I have to find a parking lot, he gave me a ticket for spinning wheels and failure to stop. I went to court, cop lied twice, judge didnt believe me, charged me with 2 points, and 96 bucks in court fees, AND I had to go to driver improvement school. I didnt get the option of taking the class and dropping anything.

My insurance went up shortly after. My points are off my license but not off my insurance yet. If your not looking at points dont worry, but there is a lot of things that you can do to not be a prick and get out in court. I read two books on dealing with traffic tickets. In some cases I believe they would work, but maryland is a bunch of communists who like to tourture people. (same judge gave a girl traffic school for a seat belt violation). Bobby also has a good point, dont call the insurance agency to ask them about anything.

SPEAKING OF TICKETS: Today on my way to see my brother in San Diego I got picked at 114 then at 97 when the cop finally pulled me over. I was trying to catch my mom and thats what i told the cop, he was super cool about it and wrote me for 95+ in a 70. He said to just call when i get my notice and check if i can take traffic school. I was about due for a ticket anyway but damn thats one hell of a ticket. I still say i got lucky. Anyone know about how much its gonna be?

Lucky you are not in jail. Anything over 20mph above the limit is jail time in Mass.

Wierd, In NY your fine until you hit 40+, then its an automatic 11 points and they revoke your license on the spot.

He could have taken me to jail, but he didnt. I seriously got lucky. Out of all the tickets ive gotten this is the only time ive gotten a break, AND BOY DID I NEED IT.

If you let your kid walk or ride a bicycle on a parkway, then you are the one that needs to figure it out.

I assume you got pulled on the I-15 Autobahn. Everyone does triple digits between Temecula and Escondido. A few months ago, I was doing 115-120mph and was passed at least a half dozen times.

If you are going to speed, do it in Utah. My wife was pulled for 54mph over (129 in a 75). It only cost $65.00 and has never shown up on her record (1996).

Thats the one. On this particular sunday everyone seemed to be going quite slow for some damn reason. So my current plan is
                              1) pay off credit card
                              2) Buy some needed parts for my car (head gasket, t belt, H2O pump, etc.
                              3) Pay off credit card again
                              4) Buy V1 Radar detector

                              FUCK THIS TICKET BUSINESS
