    Opinions? What seats to buy?

Good chance I'm selling my cardinal interior soon so i need to start planning for new front seats.

I have a mint grey cloth backseat in storage and will getting these door panels in the attatched pic.

I'm really leaning towards the Corbeau GTS II's in black cloth:
Over 50 years of providing the world with the best in aftermarket Street Seats, Racing Seats, Off Road Seats, Jeep Seats, Suspension seats, Seat Brackets, Harness Belts and more.

Do you think too much contrast with the back seats being grey? I thought about the Grey cloth GTS II's but that grey looks brighter than the back seat material. (The black with grey suede inserts would be better, but too much$$)

Has anyone used these seats before? I searched and nobody has come through with pics. I'd also consider a mint set of grey cloth sport seats.

    Any thoughts? Sugg?

Haven't used them, but I like the seats. They are similar enough to sport seats to not look out of place in the car.

Do you mean a lap belt?

I believe if you buy them from racing seats usa.com or whatever, you can have them cut and finish a nice notch in the bottom for a 5 point.

Yeah, no provisions for a 4-5 point, but stock is fine. Not tracking this car anyways.

I'm torn here. I could get me a mint sent of cloth sport seats for way cheaper than these would cost. Not to mention the rails i would need to get them to work.

You should get some Recaro seats out of an old GTI. They look very similar and are super comfortable. I think these seats you're looking at would be good though too because they looks like they have an 80's style.

I believe Jean off E30 tech has those in one of his cars. I've never been a real fan of Corbeau setas, but I think those look really good in an e30. I've actualy been thinking of getting a set if I don't have my sport seats re-built.

                  Hi,

I've sat in as many seats as possible locally before I ordered a set. The GTS II seats are more comfortable, but for what I am doing I went with the TRS seats and they have worked fine for me for all of last season and daily driving. I did remove them from my dd car and installed them in my 24v swap car as I didn't want any extra attention. The GTS seats look a little more "factory" than TRS.

Now, if you can afford to spend about 2x, then you can also look into Recaro or Momo seats etc...

You can order pre-made brackets and they are pretty good quality, I went with double locking sliders, and it's a bolt in fit.

just go with the grey sports, black front with a grey back seat would look bad IMO. If anything I would say get a set of crappy sport seats and have them redone with grey centers and black bolsters.

Yeah, I agree. I've just loved the GTS's for so long.

Hmmm, i wonder if i could recover them in cardinal.........................

How was the mounted height of those TRS with the brackets compared to the stock seat height?

My old sparco was tall and the mounts were really tall too.

I think those seats look great. They would look good in a E30. You could get them in black cloth and retrim the rears to black cloth, and use the black and grey door cards.

z71maniac - they sit fairly low with the provided brackets/sliders. I can measure them this weekend if you need anything specific.
