My driver's side backed off also. Mine didn't come all of the way off, but it was clearly not all the way tight.

Does everyone that have had this happen have bilsteins?

same thing happened with my bilsteins, except there wasnt a clunk. it just felt like the strut was blown out. i just tightened it by hand then hit it with an air hammer.

I've used a pipe wrench on factory springs.. didn't know you could fit one with lowering springs

Atleast your control arm bushing isnt being pulled out of the lollipop by the control arm. I gotta fix my problem! If that shit falls out I'm toast!

channel locks would be more likely to fit.

My bilsteins sports did it too. It took me forever to find the clunk as well. I have a friend who works at tires plus so they took care of it for me, and I could finally enjoy my good handling again. I think there's a special Bilstein tool you're supposed to use though.

there is a proper tq I'm sure but its only useful if you have the special tool. I just tightened the shit out of mine... very technical, I know.
