Another wrecked E30!! E30 carnage inside!

Damn, it seems like a whole bunch of people just wrecked their cars in the last couple days. I'm one of them. I got hit Saturday night 8/30/08 coming back from the falls on historic highway. me and my girlfriend went for a drive just to talk and a ford focus driven by some kid with no license decided to turn into me across the double yellow line, he was trying to take a left to get to I84 and i guess he didn't see me coming. Damage to my car is significant, I plan to buy it back from the insurance company so that I can get all my parts off it, I may or may not part the car out depending on what i decided to do for my next car.

and pictures I took at the towing yard today:

and the focus the kid was driving:

Sorry to see it, and glad you guys are ok. It doesn't look too bad, so maybe there's some hope of repairing it.

In the pictures the hood is latched shut and all around the fenders it does not line up right at all. I wouldn't dare to try to fix it and drive it again. I just hope insurance will give me what its worth to me. Flat back hood aside, it was a really clean car all around. The interior was still very nice and I had a lot of new parts on it. I'm really dreading getting screwed by the kids insurance, he was already lying to the police and insurance about what happened, but hopefully the officer I called to the scene will be able talk to insurance and help them get the truth.

here is how my hood lines up and why I don't think its worth trying to rebuild:

Also, the drivers side fender somehow got tweaked and does not line up with the door like it used to.

sad to see, glad everyone is ok. Going for a drive "to talk" is usually not a good thing either, bet this made your night...

That sucks. At least you and your girl still have your health. The focus looks like it was put together with rubber cement.

Must be thinking of someone else, I've had this one for a little over a year.

Thanks for the kind words guys. My girl's neck is actually still bothering her a little bit and I'm hoping that she can get something from insurance for it. It was not bothering her right then at the accident so the ambulance didn't take anyone home, hope that didn't ruin her chances of getting anything for it.

The last time i talked to insurance i mentioned that her neck was still bothering her but im not sure how serious it is and they just said okay and continued to talk about other insurance crap, no mention of compensation. Any advice on what i should tell insurance in oder to get something for her?

go to a DR or chiro. ASAP. establish some kind of paper trail. who is the driver that hit you's insurance company?

just saying that your neck hurts is something they hear all the time, don't expect a big reaction out of that. don't expect to hit the lottery with that either. most likley they will pay the DR's bills for her injury and that is it.
