today on the way to work at the Mercedes dealer, i hit a Mercedes (07 clk-350). i glanced off of the side of his bumper when he slammed on the brakes in heavy traffic because he wasn't paying attention (that's what he told me when he got out of his car). so i slammed on the brakes (yea abs!) and turned into the center lane to try to avoid hitting him.
i SMOOOOSHED my pass side fender (that is what hit the corner of his rear bumper) and his bumper put paint transfer all the way down my car. i lost the bumper side marker light on the pass side and scratched the trim (hello euro trim!), and put some paint transfer on the bumper too.
other than that the car came out unharmed.
i am putting the IX flairs and skirts on it so that will hide the marks on the rear qtr wheel house. i still need to replace the pass side fender though.
so my question is.......are early and late fenders the same on coupes? my car is an 1991 325i 2 door specifically. if they are different what years will fit? all face lift cars?
lastly any one have a good to perfect pass side fender for my car? granit silber would be great, but i can get it painted too, since i know it is an oddball colour. maybe at a pitty the unemployed guy price too??????
to top it off, today i was let go from the same dealer too!
