Mercedes was the WORST job i ever had! crappy writers, crappy shop for-man, Mercedes are a money looser to work on. pretty much the suck all the way around. i did get these really cool permanent scars all over my arms and hands from working there. so yea, fuck 'em

Too bad, man. I got run off the road TWICE on the way home about a week ago; once by a semi on a back road who was just driving down the middle of the street, and 10 minutes later by a drunk driver. Luckily I found a more or less treeless place to pull off, but it's just insane that some of these people are still on the road.

Anyway, good luck with the repairs, the damage definiely looks fixable.

Honestly I've made more money doing work on Mercedes than any other vehicle. Diag is another story, some of those can be real motherf'rs but generally working on Mercs is easy on the 98 and newer stuff.

I had a similar thing happen to my car...

Ironically it was with a Mercedes. Same fender too

Best of luck on the job situation.. and now, like you said you have an excuse to upgrade to euro trim

How the hell did you dent the fender like that, but NOT take out the grill?

Have an expected date of when you'll have it fixed?

BODYWORK on MB is a whole different deal! the book hours suck, my writers suck at asking for the right amount of time and would just say it was included in the operation. you had to waste your time arguing with them until they finally would try to get you more time. i hope the cow kicks it mama cass style! (ahhh that felt good to say!)

that said the mech time was freakin' awesome!

I couldn't tolerate the typical MB owner. All I envision is some prick with his Bluetooth headset and gelled hair with a some C-Class. Not sure how it's going for you guys in AZ, but dealerships in my area are letting people go and, in severe conditions, folding completely. Be glad you got out when you did.

i watched the guy in front of me hammer the brakes, i nailed mine and dodged to the center lane (i am not sure if the ABS kicked in or not) and JUST glanced off of the side of his bumper. the fact that my tyres were sort of baldish on the inside i'm sure didn't help either. it crushed the fender and bent the outer edge of the core support and knocked the headlight mounts out of whack.

good thing i was fired, and had all my bodywork stuff at home!
i hammered and dollied the core support straight and replaced the bad fender with a good used black one about a week after i was let go.

i have also installed an analogue clock (with red needles) and a euro (Canadian) speedo (with red needles), did a Z-3 electric fan conversion, bought 2 new Michelin's and put on two different wheels and spacers, new RSMs, and soon will be replacing my rattle cat with a magnaflow muffler, adding my IX flares and skirts, CF hood and trunk, and installing the other 2 rims and spacers, installing a IS rear lip (on the old trunk), Volvo front lip, and HID's.

it is nice to have the time to do all the stuff i have been putting off doing, but it would be even better to have a job again!

Good to hear that you're putting some hard work into the e30.

Dealerships usually don't like it when employees get in accidents. I'm sure you know that now though.

Like everyone said, at least your ok.
