BMWCCA OktoberFest 2008 - Whats up?

No, did not win our class in Concours.
We scored a 271 I think. The winner scored a 280. And second place scored 278. What bullshit...
Both cars we competed against were garage queens. We drove almost a thousand miles to get there, and Murray drives his M5 all year round when he isnt in the company car.

im a little leary of scabzz and cold accord though. they wanted me to come back to their hotel room after the awards. they are a cute couple but thats not my thing

And a side note to this:
I looked at the concours scores.. and studied the 2002's in your class. Roy should have won, like you said. Those are other cars were not Anywhere near the caliber of you and Roy.

i agree.. i didnt expect to win as i hadnt even planned on entering as i had 1200 miles of bugs and grime. my car was the only car not trailered and i just didnt have time to clean it properly. but it was fun none the less and i learned what they look for. roy should have won easily but i found out the 1st place winner (the blue werkshop car thats an older restoration) was also a judge. go figure. he certainly had a nice car, no doubt, but it didnt compare to roys car. the judges didnt know shit and didnt even realize they were judging in modified concours. they wanted to know why roy and my motors wernt the same as the other 02's.
regardless i had fun but if i were roy id be pissed. that car was pristine with like 50 miles on it. im still in shock he didnt win

Dude, he had over 100k into that restoration. Did he tell you that???
It would be a total slap in the face to me if I were Roy, after spending that much money on a car built to win shows, and then not win. You should be getting emails from Steven, so leave a comment on the judging.

Yes he did win his class last year. He won our local show and shine at the dealer right before Ofest too..
