    16 x 8 et23 wheel...will it fit?

opportunity to purchase some nice wheels
    at a good price...16 x 8 et23...tires have never been
mounted, but the seller claims that these are
    correct fitment for e30 with 225/45/16...i can't
find any info anywhere online regarding correct
offsets for an 8" rim...7.5" is the widest i have found...

i have heard that there are varying degrees of fender
clearance depending on the model year...are these going
    to fit on a 1990 325is?!

    thanks

Hopefully it will fit, because I want to run 8" wide rims and I was thinking of trying for et23. I'm pretty sure both Randy and Jeremy have 18x8" rims that are et23, that's what I'm planning on... Shouldn't make a difference if its a 16" rim.

Sounds like a perfect fit to me. Got a pic of the wheel?

          Here's my logic.

People run et20 17x7.5" wheels with 215's and they rub on dumped cars. So your wheel will be 3mm more inside (et23), but be approximately .25" (6-7mm) wider on each side of the offset. You can probably do it with either fender rubbing or cutting.

            should i run a narrower 205/50/16 instead of a 225/45/16...

i would prefer inaccurate speedo over rubbing...

205/50-16 is only .1" oversized, its not a big difference.
