    Death of a Beemer...

Alas, while returning from the house about 2 weeks ago, some jackass runs a stop sign and viola! dead BMW....

Fortunately, I only sustained a few injuries (concussion, boken collar bone...) but the BMW is history.

It gets better... Yesterday, I find out that the insurance info that the other driver gave the state police is invalid, that there is no coverage on this POS driver!

Well, at least we all now know that a BMW with a bumper retrofit can protect a passenger in a 55 MPH crash...

I hope you get a chance to get your parts back.

Good luck in the coming insurance battles.

Very glad to see you are ok-that looks to have been a major impact.

Sue him and take his house (if he has one). Sorry for your loss though. Broken collar bones suck, I broke mine a couple years ago (along with 2 vertebrae) royally fucking up a landing on my dirtbike. No fun.

He was driving a '99 Camery. Was being the operative term. (Hit him dead on the driver's side.) No idea what the other car looks like.

Forgive my spelling and proof check errors, pain meds will cause minor distractions....:p

I have to say your car did what it was designed to do quite well - it doesn't even look like the windshield has a crack in it (amazing considering the intensity of the impact). It is history though sad to say. Glad to hear you survived with only minor injuries. Get well soon and enjoy those meds :-P
