I'm here at work. The hospital is generator powered. My power and water is out at home. They said it could be days - but could also be up to 4 weeks. I have damage to my house but it's not terrible. All of my fences and trees are gone.

My Moms friend has a sail boat down and Galveston and luckily for her its still there just completly sunk. And in other news I picked up two dogs that I watched some asshole abandon. Anybody need a couple of dogs?

My place west of Katy came out unscathed, the power was on and everything when I got back yesterday. Took a trip to College Station to wait it out. My buddy was in Spring with his parents, and they helped keep their neighbor's place from flooding. They are running on a generator right now. Gas lines are around the block over there, and we may get them some gas tonight.

This storm sucked. I had shingles come off our roof, massive amounts of limbs, and my decorative tree out front was damaged.

Good to hear you didn't get to roughed up to bad. I still haven't heard from my cousin out in Houston. How did you Audi survive?

The audi is fine. My neighborhood held up REALLY well compared to the others in my area. My house felt super solid throughout.

Wow, good to hear man. Hopefully the damage to your house will be easy to repair, no water damage though, right?

Nothing major. I found out I live on the highest cul de sac in my neighborhood. People questioned my choice in land when I had my house built. It's starting to make sense to everyone now.

I haven't had news since friday so I don't know what the winds were - but the light post in front my my house was rotated 90 degrees and tilted probably 40 degrees.

Good to hear you came out unscathed. Hopefully you will have power in by the end of the week, at the latest. I know I have been seeing a HUGE number of utility trucks heading west on I10 out of Baton Rouge.

Yeah it's intense. I had to shave in the dark and take an ice cold shower to come to work this morning. Something like 2.9 million people without power?

Glad you made it through relatively unscathed.
