    Winter Tires

my parents are going to spot me some winter tires this year, and I wanted to get some that will handle well in the snow, but more likely ice. Anyone got any prefrences? I'm not looking for any sort of performance, just trying to keep my little baby safe. :)

I've been using Bridgestone Blizzaks for probably 4 years or so now and love them. They are considered a snow/ice tire and are great in the winter. Just make sure and take them off when the weather starts getting warmer, they wear fast, but are worth it for the added safety.

I would go with Hakkapeliittas all the way. I have a set of Q's for my car (I don't think they make them any more) and I was never afraid of getting stuck. Even on an unplowed dirt mountain road I got through with very little drama. With a LSD and Hakkas there will be very little that will stop you.

Explore summer, winter and all-season tyres from Finnish tire maker Nokian Tyres. Find new tires for your car, van or SUV.

What he said. Been running them for about 3 winters now, even with my asshole driving antics the fronts still have more than 50% tread and the rears are just about dead. They were never rotated.

Edit: Shit, looks like they don't offer any of their tires in our size anymore.

hmm. So far I'm probally the most interested in the bridgestone blizzaks, I'm a fan of their tires. But I wouldn't mind seing some prices and stuff.

Those feel downright dangerous in the dry to me.
