        bumping this thread, theres a 1989 318ic I'm looking at with plastic bumpers and side skirts.





        I'm guessing the PO put them on right?

          My last Cabrio had a build date later than 10/90 and still was metal bumpers. I'll have to pull out the VIN, but I think it was 2/91. Manual top also.

              I have a 91' with plastic bumpers, But a power top. It will soon be replaced with a manual top from the pick n pull.

                That whole car is really shady looking. Owner doesn't know the year + mexi wheels + smashed bumper and dented fenders is not a good sign. Its got an interesting rear plate filler though, I've never seen one designed to look like a continuation of the tail lights like that.

                    the filler is oem. They pop up on here from time to time. Ugly as hell imo
