Heh, someone shifts too hard. :)

So this is what was crippling my 318is for the past two days as I searched frantically for the part. My friend Russ at Motorsport Connections hooked me up with a used selector rod for a non-A/C equipped car, but after looking at it in the car and feeling around as a friend went through the gears, I couldn't feel any places where it would cause a problem, so in it went. Here's what the pieces look like out of the car.

The pin that is sheared off was in the bottom of the shift lever (Z3 1.9L).

All in all, with both bitch clips to fight, took about 10 mins, not including the travel time to MSC.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Ha ha ha... you think you shift hard. You're lucky. I shifted hard enough to sheer off 2 of the gear selector forks inside my transmission. Lets see you do that ;)

i sheared my shift lever of its pivot once in the corrado... not sure how that happened.. i shift sorta fast but i dont abuse it... especially in the corrado since by then i was on my third tranny.... first one cracked... second one something broke and wreaked havoc on the gears... third one needs a new reverse gear an second gear synchro
