That is what I would have said if I was to delve deep into a statement.

Custom fab work of the level you will need to complete is worth upwards of $55-95/hr. In twenty hours ( the labor hours required to pull and dissassemble, then reassemble and reinstall a stock engine ) you will have exhausted your budget.

not necessarily, ..it comes down to your experience.
Calculate how many hours you expect this will take then decide how much you want to make total, or by the day.

If your good making a grand in 2 days, maybe three - then good. Otherwise raise price accordingly.

Just remember - your a buddy.. don't ever rip off a friend :)

*edit - I agree though, it is a lot of work to swap a 740il v12 into an eta. I only know about m20s in e30s..

started a topic labor for swap?

    labor for swap?

Allright ladies, I have a guy I know askin me about a buddy and me doing a swap for him... He wants either the 740il v12 engine or a rb26 swapped into his 85 eta... I have connections for not engines, and my buddy and me can do this swap quick with the supplies given...

Here is the catch, the kid with the car doesn't know anyone who can do the swap around town, but my buddy and I. I was thinking about 2k do labor alone. Does this sound right? Or is somone getting screwed?
Working...
