Gauging Interest: Glass Replacement Lenses For Late Fogs?

$150/ea is too much for new OEM, and i'm not comfortable with the plastic replacements available.

Wondering how many would be interested in glass replacement lenses, clear and possibly already tinted yellow or smoked.

Don't make plans or anything, still in talks with the glass company. Waiting to hear back from them re: cost and minimum order quantity.

Searched and couldn't find anyone who has tried this before.

I'd like 2 smoked ones. How hard are they to replace?

Price is deff a concern. I think $100/pair would be the max i would probably pay. Hoping for it to be much less obviously.

$100/pr. is too much. Seems I could find a decent used complete set for that. How about $40-$50?

As vulnerable as those fogs are, I'd hate for my expensive replacements take a hit by a tire gator...again! $75 max for me...shipped.

                        Update:

Their estimate so far would put the lenses for too much. ~$100 a pair, and that's if we made 100 sets.

I suppose, in the long run, we could sell more than that, but I'm not able to dish out that much as a start up and produce the mold.

I'll keep contacting different companies to see if we can get cheaper prices on the mold.

True. This isn't all about the cheapest fix here. Just a quality alternative to the plastic ones, while being cheaper than new ones.

You ask me, new assemblies @ $300 a pair vs. $100 for new (yellow) lenses is still a great deal.

But even for me, a little too high at this point. But hey, it was just the first company i contacted. Let's hope for a better deal.

Feel free to ask around yourself. I'm not trying to make money here, just want to benefit me/the community.
