big problem......ideas?

Well, it's been almsot a year that I've owned my e30(thanksgiving to be exact) and in that year its been a good car to me outside of a few things.

But most recently I have somehow managed to tear the front subframe :-( where the bolt attaches the swar bar(i think) to the frame piece and today it tore even more. I've been babying it to school and back(3 miles both ways) to try and buy some time to get some cash. I'm a high school senior and having a reliable car will be more than important to me in college and the rest of this year.

the problem is how to take care of this problem. I'm taking it down to the local shop to see what they say, but I don't envision this being cheap or easy. The only realistic option I see is parting it out, of which I have another question, how much money could i get out of a houndstooth interior 86 325? All stock.

im not sure if i would part it. seems like it would be better to try and fix it. yea i jus gotout of high school and it sucked when my e30 would break down but i would jus try and save up and fix it. parting it seems drastic but thats me

Its just a subframe dude.

I bought a front subframe for 50bucks shipped from e30parts.com

click on this link and it will give you a step buy step on how to replace the sub frame, and if it is just the tab for your sway bar then un bolt your swaybar and drive it without for a while. Or go get it welded up for 30 or so bucks easy fix man.

And you sub frame can be even near as bad as mine
