why a E30

Now that I'm done with school, my commute to work is only 4 miles. There really isn't a good enough reason to spend $25k on something new. My e30 does just fine. Specially when I probably will only put 1k a month on it.

I used to have a 2002 325i & I sold it January '07. I was financing it, but I had a good chunk of equity in it, so for that reason I sold it. Making payments $500 each month is no fun, especially when I was still in school.

well I will say that my car runs pretty well. The one thing I would like to do one day is new rims but in time.

And 510s don't have near the aftermarket and are much harder to find in decent condition.

I have a love/hate relationship with my e30, I hate the problems...Sometimes I hate the attention/lack of attention I get, ie a lot of people think it's a POS, more and more people are starting to like them, few think they are the coolest shit ever, other times I like having a car that people underestimate, and that anyone who is around me long enough, starts to understand, and usually agree with me about it. I always enjoy the way it drives though. :D It's also nice to know it inside and out.

Must do mods:
-Chip
-LSD
-Headlights
-Rubber
-Routine maintenence! I know it's not a mod, but most of them act like one on a car this old, new bushings, etc...

Everything else is personal preference, I get the idea your personal preference isn't stock...

Even my big Volvo s40 turbo room mate respects the e30 and loves driving with me when he wants to get that down to the road feel.
