A 300 HP M42 would blow my fucking mind though. Then again I'm sure it wouldn't be the most reliable engine...

And remember, I don't think his "turbo" engines actually have any of the turbo system or anything. They are just designed to run boost.

So lower compression and different rods I believe. But you would have to call and find out for sure.

if you just slap in a junkyard motor and hope for the best - yes
if you're anal (pragmatic?) and replace all wear parts/gaskets/seals etc. or even rebuild - maybe

He's right i didn't know the prices for m42's. that is ridiculous for the power you are getting. you have to go all the way to forced induction to get the same output. I'd stick with the built m20 (if you don't go s52). that way you have a bigger bore and larger engine if you want to add to it. Save the 1200 buck difference and have an engine that is easier and cheaper to get parts for. But i like to talk out my *$$ alot so call MM and ask them.
