So out of complete curiosity.. what was everyones first car?

Sorry if this is a re-post... I'm just curious to see where everyones car obsession started. Did you all start with german cars or something lesser? ha

My first was a 68 Chevelle Malibu when I was 16. Metallic teal, 2 dr, my dad took the 8 out and put a straight 6 out of an Impala to slow it down :( It had sweet sweet Ivy gold interior, had that old lady musty smell, had a mouse nest in the seat cushion up until we did the swap, Cragar rims, wipers worked when they felt like it, once turn signal worked, body wasnt bad but one door has alot of Bondo, I painted the valve cover and block plum purple before it went in :)

    Soo girly, I know.

1987 plymouth horizon, I got it for free from my great grandma it didnt look good but it got awsome gas milage, it had a frosty a.c. and a heater that would melt your skin off.

1970 VW bug, light yellow, 3 speed auto stick. lift off the gas, move the stick. merged header to a glass pack, a few other bolt ons. blown front shocks so i could goose the gas and get the car bouncing to get the front tires off the ground (really cool in high school). I rolled it into a ditch at about 60 mph. it didnt break any glass and i drove it to school the next day without washing it. will scan pics later.

NICE! Another Chevelle owner!! :) I will always regret selling that my Chevelle, I still drive by the new owners house once in awhile to make sure it's still doing well. LOL! They have actually fixed it up since they bought it from me.

1984 Toyota Tercel! Sky blue 2 dr hatch 4 spd and mechanically bullet proof. At the time I really wanted a VW gti but the Tercel grew on me. I ended up liking that particular model so much that I bought another one later in life with plans for a 4age swap. A girl in a ford explorer who was late for work ended that dream though!
