E30 Coup Bolt in Roll Bar :: FEELER ::

I have really wanted to produce a street Roll Bar that would utilize the rear seat shoulder belt mounting point, hug the B pillar and incorporate a harness bar... Also the possibility of low crash bars running at waist level down the doors to the foot well.

However because it is a complicated and costly endeavor for such a small market I haven't really been able to put it together.

If I had enough people that were ready to pony up a deposit I might be able to talk John Mason in to working on this with me or getting someone in on it with me to produce them.

So tell me what you think here if there isn't ant real interest on this...

I'm giving up and just welding in a cage in FrankenKar and a headache bar in my DD.

I Don't know... I don't know how much they will cost either...

        Kind of a catch 22...

I can tell you that a (headache) roll bar one off... the way I want it to work... Will cost me about $600 to weld in my 318is...

And Welding a full cage into frankenKar, one off (the way I want it done) will Cost me about $1500...

Bolt in versions would probably be more due to fitting fabrication mounting hardware etc...

But the truth is I really dont know...

Shipping cost would really blow too...

Headache Bar sounds kinda cool, but overkill for my DD. Maybe once i start a monster e30 :)

If you're saying more than $600+ shipping I wouldn't even waste your time on it with R3V crowd.

is that something you could advertise to the spec e30 and m3 guys?

it might be abit much for my DD but i would love that in the porject beast.

I would be interested depending on the cost. I was looking at others (autopower/kirk)

The one you mentioned is the reason I wanted to to build these...

And I would rather support you than go that route. I am sure that you would supply a better product. What exactly is your reason though?

The mounting points and the way they are constructed do not address all the issues they could...

And the fit isn't so good...I've installed a few.
