    The old belt can certainly stretch a little and throw off the timing so that's probably what was up with your car.

        not to change the topic, but which 318s came with the 4.10 and which came with the 3.64 ratio?
        1990 S50 goodness.

          I was under the impression all 318s came with a 4.10, but a small case diff.

          With the manual 325s getting a 3.73, automatic 325s getting a 4.10 and
          M3s getting a 4.10, but all medium case diffs.

          Oh and search, basic questions like these have been answered NUMEROUS times.

            yes small diff on 318s,but you can put it on 325 with no problem,weld it for drifting but dont expect to last :D
