    Radar/Laser Detector/Jammer users

I am curious to see how you guys have mounted your laser jammers or laser/radar detectors.

I am building both into my car, and would like to get a few ideas, I know a majority of it will be built into the instrument cluster so that I don't have to look all over the car for cop information

i mounted mine like this, its really easy to see and hear, and its pretty much hidden, you cant really see it unless your looking for it. I also have it wired up into the check panel, so it comes on and off with the key, and there are no wires hanging down. Not sure if this is like what you want to do, but here it is anyway...

i've always had the idea of getting a V1 and mounting it behing the grill, and running a conceled display into the cockpit. i know it would sort of defeat the purpose becuase you lose the side and rear sensors, but 99% of the time, the signal is coming from the front anyway, i doubt ill ever get around to this, but it seems like a cool idea. that would definately be "built into the car"

I could not live without the arrows, they have saved me af ew times when a few cops are driving on the same road

the conceled display shows arrows, just with the v1 behind the grill, you wont get any rear sensing, some, if any side sensing... maybe rig up 2 v1's front and rear... haha, that's just silly...

if you mounted it behind the grille you'd lose most front protection as well. any kind of traffic would easily block out most incomming radar from reaching your v1.

i personally just keep my detector mounted in the middle of the windshield just above the wipers. imo the bogey counter is too valuable to give up for a stealth setup

V1 doesnt have a remote system?

Escort and Bell have systems that can add sensors on the car as well as the unit in the car.

I tried doing a search because a while back I saw a write up off a V1 install. What he had done was install it in his rear 3rd tail light (rear window), it actually fit inside the housing. and then he put the concealed little screen in the rear view mirror, there are kits for turning the rear view into a v1 screen.
