This is very true - the V1 is a classic example of the "you get what you pay for" mantra. This thing has saved me from enough tickets to buy at least 3 or 4 V1s now. I will never sell it.....unless Valentine comes out with something better :-)

You can't go wrong with the newest passport nor the newest v1. My couple of year old V1 that I bought used, a couple of years ago (as in it is probably 4 or 5 years old now) works amazing still. Saves my ass all the time.
where do you guys store these things? I always thought a good place would be the empty battery tray in the engine bay.
You won't pickup laser there. And if you keep it in your dash your radar will be off as well.
I keep mine up by my rear view mirror, in between the otp of the mirror and the roof. You can't see it from outside, you can't see it if you're a cop looking into my car from the side since its so low. And it stays out of site.
