I've heard they're alot of fun and they do look baller but i've heard they have electrical issues out the yin yang -
unless it's a 16v, forget it.
mechanically the 190e is waaay behind the E30. the fuse box looks like it came out of my '67 dart. vacuum operated locks.. ugh. the interior is lame too, feels like my grandpa's 85 Farimont. parts are much more expensive.
the 16v is pretty hot though, black on black with your typical eur-0 mods. I'd still rather have an E30, though. :pComment

Most of the car is vacuum operated.
They most certainly don't drive better than E30's, not without a shit load of suspension work.
And a bit of grunt? Forget about that, I have 2 friends that have them, one of them is a 2.3L 16V, the other is the 2.6 I6, and they're both gutless.Comment

Yeah, don't put your power seat too far back because it may stay there forever. Otherwise, they are sweet cars. Smooth ride. I'd give my left nut for a 190 Evo.

The Mercedes 190e is comparable to an AMC Pacer.
With the 2.3 16V Cosworth... An AMC Pacer in need of a valve and ring job.
Even the Mercedes guy at the shop (who happens to be queer as a three dollar bill) say's they're shit.Comment

I had a 16v...wouldn't have gotten anything else.
Fun to drive, not to work on. Plan on doing the later more than the former.

Actually CIS (KIS for you Germans) injection...
The new fuel blens eat them up (oxidizers)...
That's one reason why e21s are getting so rare.Comment
