Maybe only a little steep. It's not like swapping a Euro S50 into an E30 could ever be done for cheap.

the motor plus the extra work to make the multi throttle inatake fit.

WIsh I would have started with a better looking car. Mine is solid but not attractive to many. I love it though

that car look nice, 13k would be an offer he would accept

The motors aren't nearly that much, they're about $7500-$9500. However, a clean chassis with the headache of that motorswap already done is worth $15k. It's too bad he didn't try for the 6 speed that came with the euro 3.2.

Slightly off topic, does anyone know what 5 speed came with the OBD 1 3.0 liter euro 286hp engines? Is it the same as the tranny that US e36 M3's got?

Thsi si off topic as well, I know European Emission laws are very different thta the ones we havein America. So was the Euro s50 b30 an OBD1 and the EURO s50 b32 OBD2, or did the European cars get fucked just like the American ones?

OBD is a worldwide standard. In '96, all car's made the switch, atleast all the cars worth buying that I know of anyway.

as for the tranny Brians is a dog leg like the E30. I havent talked to him to see what its from.

He is going to do the 6 speed but at the time it seemed kinda heavy. I dont know if its large enough to create issues with the E30, havent met someone who has done it yet. I already know that the S50 tranny is large enough that you cant get to the to pbolts without removing the brace, loosening the mounts, and tilting the engine.

OBD2 and the S52 are really two different animals. OBD2 is jsut a faster and more robust controller. The S52 is a 3.2litre M50 with a crap load of emmisions restrictions to meet cafe standards.
                            Im now E30less.

I have seen the car before. It is indeed a euro motor but the company that put it it is not legit. Therefore probably needs work because of some errors in putting it in.
