m3 cammed m50 and a run of the mill m30 are your cheapest options that will make you enjoy your car. You can turbo either of them down the road with a few grand and r3v it shortly after.
If you have 5grand and just want to get it all over with at once, put the s52 in now, and r3v it next week.
