You spend more time bitching about this stuff and posting replies to Danny about how annoying he is than you do being worthwhile to this site. Why you were unbanned is beyond me.

If you don't like VW styling, don't read or look at the thread. It's quite simple.

I like Volkswagens when they aren't trying to go with a look that has been overused by others. I like unique trends, not that rat rod stretched tire bullshit. Ban me for voicing my opinion? Mmmkay.
You always bring up Danny in situations like these, the guy is annoying but I haven't commented on that in a while. I let it go, why don't you?- Trey

the NOTCHBACK was the first T-III produced, it was never officially imported until after 66-67. even then it could only be purchased through special order from Germany. they are pretty rare and desirable, most if not all that you will come across will have been gray market private imports.
the SQUAREBACK was the next one to be produced. imported in large numbers. it resembled a US station wagon and was meant to try to compete with them.
the FASTBACK was the last of the models to come out that was officially imported to the US market. it was similar to the squareback, but with a sloping rear glass and a small rear "trunk lid"
the T-III GHIA was designed by Ghia studios and built by the Karmann coachwerks using VW parts. it was NEVER officially imported into the US by VW. they are rare and desirable.
they had little brothers
the 411 was a 4 door fastback with a flat four type 4 motor like the late model buses had.
the 412 was a 4 door squareback with a flat four type 4 motor like the late buses.
all 411/412's had 4 headlights and MOST were autos
all type III's were a flat four air cooled motor with a flat style cooling fan for greater clearance in the passenger compartment and opposed to the type-I with it's upright cooling shroudseien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

it is because most of the kids that own them can't afford to get them painted, and if they did they would fuck up all the hard work scraping them on the ground because they are sooo low. they just developed a style around that. the "rusty rat rod" look started in England. i never liked it myself, but by the time i built my jetta, i could afford a paint job. i did rock my bug in primer for a long time though!
nothing wrong with it, it is just a different style. too bad it is getting BEAT to DEATH lately. it is cyclical they will get tired of it and move on to something else style wise. hopefully not involving fiberglass bodyparts!seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen
