it was found that way, and the money was put under the car, not on the outside, what's wrong with that?

Ah man that's serious! My dad had an engine rebuilt in his 73 superbeetle about 15 years ago, and 500 miles after the build one of the fuel lines leaked on the engine and the whole thing burned. The place that rebuilt the engine should have replaced the lines but didn't, and accepted no responsibility.Comment

I'd rather see a proper classic rescued, rather than left a pile of junk.
I'm all for sleepers and having kick-arse mechanicals under a shabby body, but that shell isn't shabby - it's junk.Pork Hunt Motorsport

I HAVE A RAGING ERECTION RIGHT NOW. GODDAMN LOOK AT THIS SONBITCH ITS FUCKING MASSIVE.
Just an FYI.
While this car was at this dealership, I would walk down every other lunchtime and look at it. This place has an amazing collection of rare 50s/60s Aston Martins, Lamborghinis (x2 Miuras!), 250 Ferraris, a Daytona, etc. It is a field of motherfucking dreams.
The red Mk1 above on Volk rims is also uber hotPork Hunt Motorsport

<Sigh> I love that one too. It's so clean and done very, very well. Every once and awhile I search for outlaws and then get super depressed that the values keep climbing, even for basketcases that need new floorpans and longitudinals. But that blue one, that's the one I always had in my mind that I wanted to build though I hadn't even considered the trubo motor. JPS (http://www.jps-motorsports.com/) makes a replica 356A coupe but it isn't the same. It would prevent the purists from getting their panties in a bunch though.I HAVE A RAGING ERECTION RIGHT NOW. I've seen some 912's that might fill the void, but I might save those for the Porsche thread.
Besides, I have an E30 and E21 that I need to finish before the wife gets really mad!-Josh
