                Couple of my previous vw's.
                Mine's on the right.

                Second incarnation. With buddies s4.

Wife B3 Wagon I just finished building. Wheels are being redone as of right now so Steelies are temporary. Coils have a long way down to go but this is the normal ride height as the euro front bumper is NLA and the lip is pretty hard to find as well. Wife and curbs don't mix.

i don't think you guys comprehend the whole "rat rod" theme that's going down in the VeeDub. It's not about performance, I mean a 20+ year old BMW doesn't really have that great of performance if your honest. The e30 thing is about feeling closer to the mechanical bits and "real" driving at a relatively inexpensive cost. The VW thing isn't about that because it's not RWD, they were never sporty. It's all about personal style with these cars. Honestly, I think all the chrome and shizz on old cars is gody. I know that most of you hate the plastic look of cars now days. This scene is just taking it a step further, it's core. Like British punk it has the same DIY values and Anti-wealthy look to it. Like anything good, it's an acquired taste that few will venture to try. It's not for everyone and shouldn't be, that's what also makes it fresh and pure.

It's more the fact that it's a stolen style from the FUCKING FIFTIES.
