i don't think you guys comprehend the whole "rat rod" theme that's going down in the VeeDub. It's not about performance, I mean a 20+ year old BMW doesn't really have that great of performance if your honest. The e30 thing is about feeling closer to the mechanical bits and "real" driving at a relatively inexpensive cost. The VW thing isn't about that because it's not RWD, they were never sporty. It's all about personal style with these cars. Honestly, I think all the chrome and shizz on old cars is gody. I know that most of you hate the plastic look of cars now days. This scene is just taking it a step further, it's core. Like British punk it has the same DIY values and Anti-wealthy look to it. Like anything good, it's an acquired taste that few will venture to try. It's not for everyone and shouldn't be, that's what also makes it fresh and pure.

hasnt this been argued a million times???
its like the debate over spastics cars, there will always be people that like it, people that dont, and people that will argue why it is the way it is and how its stolen or not...
this is like diving too deep into a painting by one of the old masters... saying its politcal observation of the times or that it show a deep inner need and desire for the loving touch of a nurturing mother...
when in reality that painting done by a dead guy 150 years ago is a flower garden, was a flower garden and will never be anything more then a flower garden... and he will always be chuckeling in his grave know that for thousands of years after his death people are still debating uselesly over a painting that was nothing more then a pretty garden...
let it die fellas or save it for another threadComment
