    No they were sold here. I think most of them have just rusted into nothingness. Get a csi, the dual carbs on the non-injected cars are a bitch, I know the kungelficscher (sp? I know) injection is a pita as well.

                We had a beautiful, completely original one with 35,000 miles on it for a few months in the spring. Took forever to get new parts from Germany but huge props to BMW for still producing parts on a car that old!

                      When did this bit of motivation start? There was one on the local CL not too long ago ('85 I think). Bronze/gold metalic but it was a 5 speed.

                      As for the E9s - probably BMWs best looking coupe....ever. As mentioned previously in this thread, if you were to ever consider one, get it thoroughly inspected first. Restoring one should be viewed as a labor of love, not a money making venture. You'll probably need to take a 2nd out on the house to fund it.
