Those with VSR roll bar, quick question.

Were you able to still get the top of the back seat in place?

Just kinda wedge it in there so to speak between the bars back to the rear fender wells.

I don't know how similar they are, but I was able to keep my seat in with an Autopower bar. And yes, there was a lot of "wedging" going on. Use a beat up seat if you have one, you probably don't want to ruin a nice one.

Did it mess yours up pretty good? I've got a fairly good condition black leather with ski pass through in the back.

I don't think it did any permanent damage, but it's not something I'd want to do to a nice seat, as it does tweak it pretty good. I used a foam seat, it may not be possible with a metal spring seat with the frames an everything. I didn't use an armrest seat either, the frame in that area may make the seat too stiff, or maybe it will stress other parts of the seat more and cause damage.

After a while I realized it's useless having a rear seat since nobody can sit there, so I just took the back seat out. Then the carpet, etc... and it's been a downhill weight loss slope ever since :)

I mainly wanted it back there so the inside of the car still looks decent. Guess we can just build some carpeted panels out of something lightweight, likensome type of panel board or something.

I had a kirk bar and it ruined the back seat

I would say pick up a cheap fleather one instead of ruinning your ski-pass one.

I might have a pic somewhere, but I've got the VSR and a wedged in back seat. it fits, but obviously not perfectly.

Charlie that would be good as from what I've read the fitment on the VSR is much better than the Kirk or Autopower, but I don't know how much truth there is to that since I haven't seen any of the three in person.

I've got the VSR bar and I'd like to try this too, mostly just to cut down on road noise.

+1 just buy a seat, you can pick up a decent one for around $100, so it will still look good and you won't have to worry about having a nice one when you take the roll bar out. You could cut out some material on the new seat too if you don't want it to look wedged.
