Everone should lay off the two week thing. Me and this guy agreed at first conversation that our christmas vacation time would be great to meet up and pick up the car. I would have to trailer it because it didnt run and tires were flat. The two week thing was because i gave him my number (dumb move, i know, but i knew where he worked) and gave him time to ask his mom about the sale and to get pics from his sis. Also because I didnt have time. The two weeks time delay was no big deal i thought. Well turned out that all that talk about selling the car tipped someone in the family off and they hopped right on it.
I'm still trying to figure out the details - I called every salvage yard in the city except one because they are closed for a couple days. I'm starting to get a feeling that the car wasnt actually brought to a yard and that it was an excuse. I'm too pissed to let this go right now... but i'm sure i will have to soon come to terms.Leave a comment:

someone made a rattle can reference like 2 pages ago lol. But it never gets old.
And it is sad to hear that you sat on a 500$ m3 for two weeks.
Just doesnt make sense for a "cousin" to sell the car for more 40% less to a yard when there is a willing and able buyer imo, so if it makes you feel better, sounds like it was a hoax.... unless the buyer is just that stupid...Leave a comment:

^word<-- 88 M3, purchased less than 3 hours after it was put up for sale - ebay
<-- 90 M3, called every couple hours until I got an answer, (she wouldn't let me come look at it til the following day! but she promised that I could see it first.) - In our local paper, started calling at 8 AM.
If you have to call at 10:30pm, do it. Just apologize profusely. Then bring cash the next day. What the hell were you thinking???
The last car I snagged I sent 5 email and called 6 times inside of 24 hours. I was there the next morning with a Uhaul - and that was just for a wrecked '90 automatic e30.Leave a comment:
