There was an alpine over black 88 M3 rotting away in some dudes backyard a few miles from my parents house. I drove by it everyday but never figured he would get rid of it cause apparently it was his sons car who passed away.

So this other guy in my town asked him if he would sell it and he got it for 1000 dollars. It had a spun bearing and a large chunk missing from the front airdam, but the car was gorgeous otherwise

He probably made up the story in the first place to try to impress you and soon realized you were actually really excited about buying it, so he quickly came up with an excuse as to why you cannot come see the car anymore. It never existed in the first place.

This kind of reminds me of that guy that said he was getting some new struts from Latvia for $25 shipped...

dude, i've been trying to figure out a reasonable story and i think this is it.
I gave him my number, waited two weeks and when i called his work, he said he talked to his mom about it yet lost my number... ...though he DID give me his cell and was receptive to my calls.

i dunno, i just think either hes a REALLY good liar or i just missed out. I'm still gonna look for this car.

And Blunt, i'll find you the pictures. Dont worry, it will be good and not from me asking another r3ver for stock photos.

What did we learn today kids? Don't post the the thread until you have the car.

OP, it sucks that it didn't work out, but I'm willing to bet the thread jixed it in some way.
