Never officially imported, probably a grey market. Thus, incredibly rare but unfortunately not very desirable as a complete car to someone who isn't a collector, mostly because of the weak engine.

    Has many desirable parts, though.

          it's an '85, so:

          Euro bumpers
          Euro valence
          OBC-free console
clock in dash instead of tach
          Cloth interior of some sort

Not *good* parts, but parts desired by people in the US.

            Dang

I met this guy at local Home Depot yesterday. He was rushing, but what caught my eyes was the euro bumpers as I do not get to see euro bumpered cars that many here in NJ. He apperently imported the car from Netherland , original owner, but cosmetically in "not so great" condition since he treats it as his winter beater and his wife drives it also. saw couple of dents, one major dent on the rear bumper, my heartfelt.

It is a caburated four banger, and an autotragic, i got couple of pictures. will upload it later today.
I know there are some desirable parts.

I didn't even know you could get that motor with the auto. It's probably the old 3-speed, too.

A 316 was my first e30, first manual car also. It was pretty slow, but would hold 100mph on the autobahn all day.

Plenty of those over here, as well the 320i, both are POS compared to 318 and 325 consecutive.
