broke the LCD on my sonly p72 digital camera - fix?

Well I had it in my backpack - I think it worked it way to the bottem and sometihng cracked the LCD screen - it's totaly screwed (no display)

Anyone know how much this is going to cost for me to get fixed?

Anychance I can crack it open and replace the screen myself?

the swap would be fairly simple, getting the actual part is what the hard part is

I would look into private repair places. Even if your camera is still "under warrenty," almost no warrenty in consumer electronics covers physical damage (and I know sony doesn't). Sony will make you pay up the ass for repairs. I would look into other places, compare prices, and see what Sony charges.
