Not exactly late-breaking news, but its still a great car. A vast improvement over the 996.

Two weeks ago a friend of mine who runs a Porsche repair/race prep shop moved to a new location and had an open house to show off his new digs. A long time customer of his is well-connected with the local Porsche dealership and this guy was able to get his hands on a black 997 Carrera S (they essentially let him borrow it for a couple of hours). He brought it by the new shop and I got to check this thing out.....sit inside.....and start the engine. Sorry no test drive

In a word, this new Carrera is awesome.

I remember seeing that on TV during a preseason game. I thought it was kinda cute until I realized what that guy would have told that kid in reality when he asked to see a new 911.

Oddly enough I have already seen one on the road here with the new headlights (or old headlights). Im gonna have to hunt down Hannah, Id think her dad would be the only person who could have gotten it that early.
